Welcome to the San Diego S-Gaugers model railroad layout. The San Diego S-Gaugers is a model railroading club with members from the San Diego area and several other states. Our clubhouse is a storefront suite in Grossmont Shopping Center, La Mesa, California, just east of San Diego. Among the highlights of this, the biggest of our five layouts, are the military aircraft museum, the vineyard lift-bridge module, the Powell Yard, the farm and its scratch-built trestle bridge, and the Gilbert Siding where visitors interact with Gilbert American Flyer accessories made from the 1940s to the 1960s. While the layout is set up to run any available power system, the westbound train is generally running on conventional AC power, while the eastbound is generally running on DCC. We are located in Grossmont Center, just off Interstate 8 in La Mesa, California. Come visit us! If you happen to come by when we're closed, push the button outside the window and the train will run.
