MOMENT Russian helicopters 'shoot down' Ukrainian military plane carrying weapons in precision attack.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), forces shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane carrying weapons and munitions near the Black Sea port of Odesa.

The ministry said Russian missiles also struck an artillery training centre in Ukraine's Sumy region where foreign instructors worked. Another strike destroyed a "foreign mercenaries'" outpost in the Odesa region, it said.

Also on Saturday the ministry released the footage of what it says Russian military helicopters Ka-2 being loaded with ammo and striking unspecified targets on Ukrainian territory. Reuters could not independently verify the location of the footage or the date when it was shot.
