An easyJet flight heading from London to Spain on July 3 was escorted by a Spanish fighter jet after a British teenager onboard made a bomb threat on social media.

The 18-year-old culprit spent the night in jail after the plane landed safely and awaits a court hearing, said a Spanish Civil Guard spokesperson.
