The true detailed stories of five steam powered ships from the turn of the twentieth century illustrated using original photographs found amongst family possessions.
The ships are HMT Idaho, HMT Kildonan Castle, RMS Majestic, The Mexican and USMSS New York.
The photographs were probably taken around Southampton, UK between 1899 & 1901 and coincided with Second Boer War shipping movements.
The stories were written by the narrator, Vince Poynter, filmed on an Apple iPhone X and edited on an Apple iPad Air 4 in iMovie using Keynote to construct the titles.
This is the first part of a mini-series of three videos outlining the stories of the ships in the family photographs with the final part telling the tale of who likely took the photographs and personal family connections to ships of the era.
