On august 9, explosions were heard at the Russian Saki air base in Russian-occupied Crimea. The Ukrainian officials refused to mention about this attack and still Ukraine has not officially taken credit for the action. Russian Defense Military stated that no equipment had been destroyed and no casualties occurred.

However, videos have proved that Russia got serious damages from the attack in Saki airbase. It has been reported that 60 Russian pilots were neutralized. Also, Russia lost its Su-24 plane in the attack. Several videos from the area have been shared and even buildings near the Saki air base got damaged.

According to breaking news; 9 Russian warplanes were destroyed. Sergei Aksyonov, Kremlin- installed leader of Crimea declared a state of emergency after dozens of nearby homes and commercial structures were hit. Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine had posted a photo of Saki airfield before the Crimean attack and show that more than 30 planes and helicopter were in the Saki before explosion.
