China's Military Continues to Get Stronger: By the end of the decade, the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) could operate five aircraft carriers and 10 nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines. More importantly, Beijing is currently retaining the necessary resources to continue its naval modernization efforts.

That could include aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, bluewater logistics ships, and strategic bombers, as well as strategic transport and refueling aircraft.
