The American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford has visited Oslo, the warship’s first stop while deployed to the US Naval Forces Europe (NAVEUR) Area of Operations (AOR).

It was the first time a US Navy aircraft carrier had visited Norway since 1958. USS Gerald R. Ford deployed from Norfolk, Virginia on May 2 to conduct joint and combined training, exercises with NATO allies, plus operations. Escorting the carrier up the Oslo Fjord in this video is the Royal Norwegian Navy (RNoN) frigate HNoMS Roald Amundsen.
