The United States has been aiding Kyiv with arms and ammunition since the beginning of the war. Now, a top Pentagon official has indicated that Kyiv eventually needs to foot the bill for some weapons shipments. Celeste Wallander, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, said Ukraine should eventually step in to cover the costs of some weapons.
