A US military plane carrying five Marines crashed in southern California on Thursday, killing all five people on board.
They were exercising on Wednesday when their MV-22B Osprey crashed down barely 20 miles (35 kilometers) from the Mexican border in Glamis.
According to the military, an inquiry into the accident's causes was underway.
Military authorities have strongly denied initial social media allegations that the plane was transporting nuclear cargo.
