The United States has made US$100 million available in foreign military financing to the Philippines, its ambassador to Manila said on October 14, 2022, as part of efforts to boost defence ties. US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson announced the military aid to Washington's oldest treaty ally in the Indo-Pacific region while aboard the USS Ronald Reagan, which was on a scheduled port call in Manila.
