A shocking news came from the combat fleet of the French Navy in the Mediterranean Sea.
The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle was attacked by a British military warship, Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
The French military aircraft carrier strike group, which was crossing the Mediterranean Sea, was attacked by two warships from the British Navy (Royal Navy) and one warship from the United States Navy United States (US Navy).
The two British aircraft carriers, the destroyer HMS Duncan (D37) and the frigate FS Chevalier Paul (D-621), were joined by the destroyer USS Nitze (DDG-94) of the United States military (US).
The three of them launched attacks towards the Charles De Gaule aircraft carrier, especially against a number of fighter jets that took off.
However, this British and US military attack was a scenario in a joint exercise codenamed ORION 23, which was held since February 26, 2023.
Six members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) participated in this exercise, namely the United States, Belgium, Italy, Britain and Spain.
