Saudi Arabia wants American security guarantees and help with a nuclear program. After spending the past year raising gas prices over a power trip - Saudi has come crawling back to Uncle Sam. This comes as part of a peace deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia. This deal would see Saudi seek American security guarantees as well as American support for enriching uranium for civilian purposes. But the US fears Saudi, the country that funded 9/11, will pursue a nuclear weapon. They have already said that they will pursue a nuclear weapon if Iran gets one. Also interestingly, Saudi seems to be leaving Palestine out to dry and has asked for very little concessions from Israel on the issue.
