On June 14, 2023, three RAF Hercules, ZH868, ZH870 and ZH871, were touring the UK in a 5-hour flypast to mark the aircraft's retirement from service. The transport plane, which has been used by the RAF since the 1960s, will be stood down on 30 June. At 13:58 UTC, the trio flew over Cambridge Airport that was the second home for RAF Hercules, with Marshall ADG providing maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as post-retirement conversion and refurbishment for the third parties. Marshalls employees made a short break and came out of hangars to greet the flyby. By the end of the month, the remaining RAF aircraft will fly to Cambridge for the last time and join their already retired sisters, stored there.
