An F-18 fighter jet crashed on Saturday (May 20) during flight demonstration training at an air force base in Zaragoza, Spain.

The pilot from Spain’s 15th Wing managed to eject seconds before the aircraft crashed inside the military base's premises.

The soldier, who has not been named, was taken to a local hospital where he is recovering from injuries sustained in the accident, the country's air force said on their social media platforms.
