Just how powerful is the French Rafale? Rafale means "burst of fire," and therefore it has 14 hard points for different roles. Let's begin with Storm Shadow, a stealthy air launched cruise missile. This weapon has repeatedly shown itself in battle for its ability to strike targets deep into enemy territory, without the Rafale having to fly through hostile airspace, and for more air-to-ground, Rafale has Laser-guided bombs from 500 to 2,000 pounds, and the AM-39 Exocet missile to hit enemy warships. For air superiority, it has Meteor BVR missiles, with the Ramjet propulsion system, which gives them thrust all the way to target intercept, providing the largest no-escape zone of any air-to-air missile.
