A new Forces News special takes an in-depth look at what happened when the Taliban took the Afghan capital of Kabul one year ago.

Interpreters and other Afghans who worked with British forces during their 20-year mission in Afghanistan faced a deadly race to make RAF evacuation flights out of Kabul in August 2021.

'Escape from Kabul' looks at how the evacuation mission, named Op Pitting, was carried out and hears from some of those who were evacuated to safety by the UK military, as well as hearing the frustrations of those who feel action should have been taken sooner.
