China says it rejected the US’s phone calls because the vibes were off. Saying Washington hadn’t created the proper atmosphere for dialogue and therefore they didn’t answer the US’ calls. I’m gonna try that on my wife and see how that works. The U.S. recovered the balloon's hardware largely intact but China still insists that it’s a weather balloon.
