The leading news of the day; Alexandr Dvornikov No Longer Commands The Russian Army in Ukraine!

The CIT team discovered from Russian troops more than a week ago that General Dvornikov was no longer in command of "the military operation" in Ukraine. General Gennady Zhidko, the previous commander of the Eastern Military District and now director of the Russian Armed Forces' Main Military-Political Directorate, has taken his post.
"Essentially, he is Russia's main political officer," argues CIT head Ruslan Leviev.

Leviev mentions that he is unaware of the grounds for General Dvornikov's dismissal.

"It might be due to a random rotation." "We witnessed the Russians doing the same thing in Syria," Leviev adds. stated that there were questions about whether Dvornikov was still in command of Russia's forces in Ukraine since he had not been seen in two weeks.
Dvornikov led Russian forces in Syria from September 2015 until June 2016.
