Four Italian Air Force F-35A of 32° Stormo Arrive at RAF Marham, Norfolk, from NATO Policing in Iceland. They were deployed to the Keflavik Air Base to police the airspace of the High North. They arrived today 4th July 2022 at 1200 local time.

The four Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II of the Italian Air Force are returning back to their home base Amendola Air Base, Italy. They have been deployed for over a month at Keflavik Air Base, Iceland.

Fully mission-ready, the Italian Air Force F-35A detachment had been on stand-by 24/7 to safeguard the skies over Iceland and continued the long-standing enduring mission of NATO Air Policing there. The Italian Air Force detachment was comprised of more than 130 women and men and the four F-35A fighter jets. This is the third deployment to Iceland of the Italian 5th generation fighters after the ones in 2019 and 2020. Before that, Italy supported the mission with their Eurofighter Typhoon in 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
