The X-47B, or Bravo, is the stealth drone unmanned combat air system of the United States Navy. The tailless strike fighter jet sized drone was designed for carrier based combat operations. Now of course, if Northrop Grumman is building something stealthy and UFO looking, how can you even imagine that it would be low-priced? The total cost of this program had risen to $813 million by the year 2012, and then the US Navy paid millions more for post demonstration developments! The X-47B was the first drone aircraft in history, to take off from, and land on the deck of a moving aircraft carrier. Although the program ended in 2015, and today both prototypes are stored at Northrop's palmdale facility in California, but if we talk about this cutting edge robotic drone's features and specifications, it was truly a futuristic state of the art technology! As far as fire its power is concerned, it can be armed with 2 GBU-31 satellite guided Jdams, or 2 GBU-10 paveway laser guided bombs, to score a precision hit on enemy targets. If we talk about its range, the X-47b is capable of 2400 miles without refueling, some 1100 miles more than F-35C variant of US navy, which means it can be operated far away from the range of Chinese hypersonic missiles.
